Overview	SEO - First reengineered search engine and analysis tool that provided updated historical production and other relevant details for specific group of industries. The tool was designed in a manner that it provided quick yet accurate reserves of data to the end user. The analysis tool could be used to track and predict changes, estimates, and other related factors from one year to the next using a single system. Magnitude of reports could also be generated using the system. Data is the crucial and essential for any business irrespective of the domain. When this system is designed and evaluated properly it can lead to tremendous business gains. SEO - First designed one such system where the client required a solution that could help their vendors to utilize and interpret the data collected by them for their business gains. The project was completed in two phases Phase I: Reengineering of the Client Side. Phase II: System Enhancement & Reengineering of Back Office and Complete Database Migration of the complete system The system designed by Their whole business run on the information they gather. Our customer sought to come up with a solution that manages the data they gather, authenticate the same and provide the quick data access to their client with high performance for market analysis.

Situation	Phase I: Reengineering of Client Side The Client approached SEO - First to reengineer the client side for performance. The client had a rich database that comprised data related to seven industries namely Water, Oil, Civil, Gas etc. The data accumulated by the client was publically available at various channels; but the client provided a common platform where all this data was available in better form that was more useful to its end users.Hence the client requested a website that could make the data readily available to its users but was simultaneously easy to use. The client wanted that the system should be designed in a manner that end user could search for details using multiple search factors. Since the database had magnitude of records the client wanted that search engine be extremely fast and reliable. The client also requested that the end users could view the results in user friendly manner as well have the facility to add projects to list of favorites. The client also wanted effective feedback management section that could allow end users to send individual project related feedback. The client also required that end users could also save various Search agents. The most important aspect was the Analysis Tool that could help the end user to perform analysis on existing data and generate reports. Since the database was updated continuously from back end hence the analysis would also be affected accordingly. This effectiveness of the tool was the deciding factor for the success of the website. The details were to me made available on subscription basis hence an effective back office management to manage subscriptions was also required. The client also wanted an upbeat look and feel with content management system for the existing web site. Phase II: System Enhancement & Reengineering of Back Office and Complete Database Migration of the complete system Our exceptional work on the existing site of the customer to improve the performance of end-user side raised client’s confidence in SEO - First; consequently offering us revamping of the total system Client side, Back Office System. The existing database was extremely fragile hence the client wanted a new database design that could accommodate future enhancements as well. The system catered to industries in middle east only now the client wanted the system to accommodate industries worldwide hence the new database was to be more robust. Client also required a system that could provide effective workflow management with track of earlier changes, pending work etc. Initially the client administration and back office worked as independent entities now the client wanted a single administration dashboard for both section. The client also required enhanced permission based access to the new system. Other enhancements requested by client comprised of more locations as opposed to earlier system that concentrated on middle east companies. The industry segregation had also been increased from three to five. The Client also wanted to monitor the project health subsequently the performance of back office user who had provided for the details.
Solution	Phase I A new layout was designed by graphics team of SEO - First that was completely enterprising. The data was arranged in more user friendly manner making it more usable. The client side provided Quick and Advanced search features having multiple search criteria. The end user could save the search criteria. Additional benefit of mails based on the selected search agents was also provided. Add to Favourite section was also provided so that the end user could monitor his preferred list of projects. Analysis tool was designed that could provide various details regarding the existing project details and predict future trends in similar industry sector etc. This tool made the website extremely favourable increasing clients revenues. Project wise feedback section was provided to the end user wherein they could send independent feedback to client Phase II The whole database was restructured and redesigned taking in account the previous problems; the database was also designed in a manner that it could keep in view any future enhancements. The client needed to retain all the earlier data hence data migration from old to new was extremely challenging. A new look and feel was it given to the now new site keeping in view that the clients business was expanding internationally. The existing client side (previously designed by SEO - First) was altered to work with the new database. Since the website is totally data driven hence the data entry module was also designed by keeping the end user in view. SEO - First proposed a wizard for data entry to support easy data entry. Extremely robust workflow management was provided that allowed to worked upon projects to be visible in the to do list of person next in command making the whole process completely automated. The project feedback section was also made part of workflow thus ensuring that all the feedbacks were duly dealt with by relevant persons hence improving customer service and hence loyalty Since each project had to go through a workflow hence Project Health Monitor was also automatically incorporated that could define the health of project based on last modified date of the Project and the information gathered for the project. Nested Projects can be created, which allows user to sub-classify the projects. The industry classification that earlier existed till three levels was now updated to accommodate 5 levels automatically increasing the search criteria and data relevancy. The end user access that was initially just subscription based was restricted to country/industry segregation thus allowing the website to generate more revenues for the client at the same time refining the data for end user. Only relevant data was available to the client as per subscription and client only needed to pay for details he wanted to view. Google API was also incorporated that allowed end users to view exact project locations. Gantt Chart was also made available so that user could view project progress graphically making it more user friendly. li>The new design and development has made the system extremely robust allowing the system to handle huge amount of data. Facility to Import the old data from the existing database to new one was also provided.
